According to an article from IGN, Ryan is currently set to voice a character in the upcoming 2009 3D animation film "Astro Boy". Just who Ryan is to be voicing, we currently do not know. Also, since at the moment there is only a single source, right now we are simply going to consider this a strong rumor. More info will be posted on this as it comes along!

We have a tad bit more news for you concerning the upcoming possible Canadian sitcom. The first bit of information is that Ryan would be in the position of the lead role. The second tidbit is that, if it comes to be, filming is currently tentative to begin in either July or August. Little else is known about the show at this time!

Also, three more live shows have been added to Ryan's schedule! The first of these is for June 6th and 7th at Ryan's theatre, the Upfront, but it's not improv - instead, it's with his and Greg Proops' new show, "Stiles & Proops Unplanned". Likewise, two more Whose Live Anyway? shows have been added, for Oregon and Washington in Portland and Olympia respectively. These shows are to make up for the WLA shows that were cancelled at these venues earlier in the year. Below is the current, updated schedule.

A small handful of our old affiliates have been deleted due to broken links, dead sites, and simply the fact that some of them never linked back to us. However, we have, in turn, added over a dozen new affiliates. I have also added a banner for Greg Proops Net, our sister site. If you haven't yet been to GPN, please do so!

You might have noticed that, as of the past few days, the main page news has been updated rather frequently. Now that I am on summer break and have a little more free time, I'm going to try and post everything that I update on the day that I actually do the update, rather than compiling it all into one big post. We'll see how this works out. Some feedback on the new news system would be appreciated.

According to an article from last Thursday's Nanaimo Daily News, Ryan is in talks of a possible Canadian sitcom. Two excerpts from the article include:

Stiles has comedy projects he continues to work on and the possibility of a new Canadian sitcom performed in front of a live audience, an approach that hasn't been attempted in years.

He may also find himself on a live sitcom set if talks with the Canadian broadcaster go well. Stiles said Canadians just "don't shoot sitcoms" and he doesn't understand why. He looks forward to having the opportunity to work with the Canadian broadcaster that gives people "more freedom and more control over the product."

Because this is the first that I've heard of this, and this article remains the sole source of this information, right now it will merely be treated as a rumor - but it's an interesting rumor nonetheless!

To start off with, those interested in seeing Ryan perform live have a new handful of upcoming opportunities, including four new Whose Live Anyway? dates in California, Nevada, Washington, and British Columbia. For those in or near the Montreal, Canada area, you're being gifted a particularly special treat. Ryan and Greg Proops are bringing 'Stiles And Proops Unplanned' to the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in mid-July. Check out the dates below for more information!

We just have a quick update for you concerning show dates, times, and TICKETS! The tickets for the Bell Centre, Surry show and the Kelowna show are now on sale! I have provided purchasing links below. Also, a brand-new show featuring just Ryan and Greg Proops has also been announced. It is this upcoming Wednesday, and almost as soon as it was announced, it was sold out. However, if you're in the Hollywood area, there will still be a stand-by line, and so you might still be able to get in.

Our next major update will be on Ryan's birthday, April 22nd! Until then, browse around the site - you just might find a few changes and some new Stiles goodies!

As previously publicized per our last home page announcement, Ryan has commenced filming of "Two And A Half Men", the comedy sitcom in which Ryan plays Doctor Herb Melnick, a pediatrician, who has recently been wed to Alan's ex-wife Judith.

For American viewers, on Monday, March 31st, Ryan's newest episode, "The Soil Is Moist", will be airing on CBS. For exact air time, please check your local listings. The brief episode summary is: 'Alan finds out some surprising information about Judith's sex life when he decides to go on a date with one of her friends.'

As you may (or may not) have noticed, there have been some changes lately in the schedules for the Whose Live Anyway? tour dates. The shows that were to be in June in Washington and Oregon have, at this moment in time, been cancelled. Likewise, two additional shows for Michigan and Ohio have been added on for September. Plus, some of the days and venues for British Columbia have switched around a little. Here is the current, revised lineup:

After a very long time, the Information section is now finally open to the public! Though it's not completely done yet, you can now visit the Showtimes page to be able to look up TV listings of Ryan television shows and films in the USA, Canada, England, Australia, and more. You will also be able to check out the new Filmography page which hosts a list of the films Ryan has appeared in, along with Reviews for five of those flicks. We've also added a (sadly, small) Awards & Nominations page. But last, but beyond the least, we now have a Fanmail page!! Yes, it's what many of you have been waiting for - addresses where you, yourself, can send Ryan a letter, and hope for a reply! However, we could like to caution that, as of right now, none of the three addresses given have been confirmed. We highly encourage you to try them out, and let us know if you have any successes!

As we have some 'in with the new', it's time for some 'out with the old'. I have officially retired the Fanfiction section. There are a couple of reasons for this. First off, we only had one story and weren't receiving any additional submissions. Secondly, there are other places (communities, websites) that host a great deal of Ryan / Whose Line related fiction that are far better places to go to read fanfic. We decided that it was best to leave fanfiction to those places that specialize in such subjects. You can still, however, find our old fanfiction page in the Archive section of the site.

Lastly, thanks to visitors such as yourself, we have achieved a five star ranking on Starpages! Thank you so much to all of you who continue to support us and visit the site! We appreciate your time and hope that you continue to enjoy the site!

Ryan is currently back in California for filming of Two And A Half Men, and as he's down from the Pacific Northwest, he's stopping by Magic Matt Alan's for some smoking, drinking, and interrupting. I am, of course, referring to Outlaw Radio. For poker night tonight, Matt's turning on the microphones. Be sure to go to www.OutlawRadioUSA.com this evening at about 6:45 PM PST. Likewise, be sure to tune in this Saturday at 3 PM PST to listen to the latest Ryan appearance on the regular Outlaw Radio broadcast. If you've never listened to the show before, I highly recommend it!

The other reason is that I am currently making headway on a new project - a website very similar to RSN for the most wonderful, talented, and lovely Greg Proops. The site is Proopalicious: Greg Proops Net. Before you gasp and go, "Wait, is he your focus of attention now?!"... the answer is yes, and has been for some time. But do not fret, loyal and faithful viewers of RSN - RSN is far from dying, and I am still a devoted Ryan fan. But I do encourage all of you to check out the hilarity and wit that is Greg Proops - or, at least, take a quick peep at my new site. There's not too awful much to it yet, but it's growing!

In the world of Stiles news, we have quite a few updates for you.

First off, unfortunately, the new sitcom that was mentioned some months ago on here is no longer in production and has been cancelled. So, sadly, we won't be seeing Ryan in that.

In better news, however, keep your eye out for future Ryan appearances on Two And A Half Men. Ryan is signed up to do three to four more episodes for this season. He has yet to film them, but will likely be filming very soon!

For those of you wanting to see Ryan live, even though it's been posted in the left-hand sidebar for some time now, there are seven future Whose Live Anyway? shows approaching in the next few months! The cast members include Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten, and Jeff Davis. The dates and venues are as follows:

Also, Ryan's 49th birthday is rapidly approaching! RSN would like to do something special to celebrate, but we are unsure what. We'd love to hear some of your ideas (but please make them realistic)! I've noticed that recently, the tagboard has been flooded with a lot of posts that just don't belong there - mainly "fangirling", typing in chatspeak, people repeating themselves, and other miscellaneous things. It's not that these things are bad, it's just that they do not belong there and are unacceptable.

So, in response to this, even though we already have a forum and livejournal community, I have created a second tagboard, which can be found HERE. You can also locate it view the Interactive section. This tagboard / mini chat room is where you can be free and express (almost) whatever you want. I only ask that you try and keep the topics somewhat Ryan related, that people respect one another, and that you keep the content PG13. Otherwise, it's free game! So go check it out, introduce yourself, and have fun!
